What an amazing and rich story. I enjoyed every word. <3
(Spoiler below if someone sees this review before finishing the story.)
How fitting that Hobbs would have to gaze at the result of his crime (and pay $100K for it) for years on. Wonder if his wife knew who Justin is or the real meaning of the painting...
Author's Response: Thank you so much. In my mind, Hobbs's wife has no idea who Justin is or the real meaning of the painting. Which is fodder for the sequel . . .

I really loved this story. I think it's some kind of poetic justice that Hobbs gets to look at the painting that depicts his horrific acts every day for a long time. Justin is happy. That's all that matters.
Author's Response: Thank you so much. I so agree - Justin being happy is ALL that matters!!

I'm glad they got rid of that painting. It was like a dark cloud hanging over them.
Author's Response: Yeah, it was. Justin had to be ready to get rid of it, and he finally was!!

I wonder what Brian would gave said to Justin if he hadn't hung up the phone. Also Justin and Daphne smoking for the first time was hilarious.
Author's Response: Thank you so much. Glad you liked it!

Well there is nothing like an outsider to tell you something you just can't see. Well done Melanie. So this is how Justin and Daphne met? Really cute.
Author's Response: Yeah, Melanie opened their eyes. I think Justin and Daphne met just like this!

It's really bad about Sidney but I like that Gus is living with them now. I hope Lindsay and Mel are okay though.
Author's Response: Gus loves living with his dads. Lindsay and Mel are having big-time problems.

Aww, little Justin is discovering his sexuality. The birthday party was really great too. I'm glad Meg decided to get help.
Author's Response: Yep, Justin is at THAT age! LOL Thanks for the comment.

The part with Justin turning thirty had me laughing so hard. Also love Brian's surprise visit. It's ridiculously romantic.
Author's Response: Thank you so much. Glad you like this chapter.
Date: Dec 23, 2016 1:00 pm Title: CHAPTER FOUR
Justin remembers. That's amazing. Also I really hope Meg will get some help.
Author's Response: Yeah, Justin has a big breakthrough in this chapter. Meg really needs help, and Brian came to her rescue.
Date: Dec 23, 2016 11:06 am Title: CHAPTER THREE
I'm glad Brian and Justin finally talked. I hope it helps Justin to deal with it better.
Author's Response: They really needed to talk. Justin feels much better now.

Well the art degree thing shouldn't actually be a problem or am I wrong? I still would really like to know what's going on with his older version. He seems depressed.
Author's Response: The art degree will help him in a lot of ways. His older self is wrestling with some pretty bad demons.

I love little Justin. But what the hell is wrong with Aunt Meg? Also I'm really concerned for the older Justin. He doesn't seem to be in a good place. I hope he'll be alright.
Author's Response: Little Justin is great. I love him so much! Aunt Meg has . . . problems. Older Justin is not in a good place at all right now.

OMG, I love this. It's really great to peek into those different times of Justin's life.
Author's Response: Thank you so much for reading and taking the time to leave this sweet comment! So happy you liked the different time frames.

Great story. I loved the mix of the present and the past.
Well done!
Author's Response: Thank you so much for reading and taking the time to leave this sweet comment. It means the world to me. I'm so happy you loved the 3 different time frames.

What's bothering our sweet, Sunshine?
Author's Response: It's actually Brian who's worried because Justin hasn't opened up about why he was such a mess in his studio the previous night when Brian woke up and found him not in bed. Thanks for the comment! Linda

He was so excited to make his dad proud of him, that's what got me the most. How someone like that could suddenly turn on his kid :(
And Brian washing Justin's brushes, that shouldn't have made my heart flutter as much as it did lol
Author's Response: Yeah, Craig said Justin was always trying to make his dad proud when he was little in the ep. where Justin asked him to pay for his tuition. It made me think of them having a great father/son relationship, only to have Craig turn into a homophobic jerk when he found out his son was gay. I don't know how anyone could turn on his kid like that either. Thanks for the comment. Means the world to me. linda

I love this, how we see the love of drawing and colouring forming to now, where he is a confident artist.
Also, loved Brian's comments about Justin's face ageing if he didn't sleep LOL
Author's Response: Hi, Sally! Yeah, I figure Justin's love of art had to have come about when he was a kid. Brian always has the perfect thing to say, doesn't he? LOL Thanks for the comment. Love that you're reading this story. Linda

Yay! So glad you're posting this incredible story on KD. 😊 I just reread (yesterday) and left comments for each chapter on AO3. I think I started reading and commenting on MW some time ago, lol. I'm completely in awe of how you flawlessly weave together Justin's childhood, time in New York, and the present at Britin.
Author's Response: Thank you so much! I'm loving this site and have wanted to post my fics here for a long time, but RL was so stressful I just couldn't do it until now. I did read all your beautiful comments on Ao3 yesterday, and I'm just so appreciative of your support and wonderful feedback. I never get many comments on my stories, so to have you take the time to say how much you enjoy them really means the world to me. I love your opinions and take on every chapter, too. So nice to know someone likes my writing. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart. There is only one more part to be posted after chapter 10 and this story will be ended. It's all written and will go up in a few days. Everything will be wrapped up in the epilogue. Hope you like it! Linda

So happy to see you posting this here. Yay! TAG
Author's Response: Thank you so much, Tag. I know it's taken me forever to start posting, but RL has been extremely challenging the last 6 months. And then my dad passed away in September, so dealing with that and taking care of my mom has really set me back. But I love this site, and I'm very happy to start posting my fics here. Thanks for the invite and all the help you've been. Sally, too. It was so nice to hear from her, and her encouraging words were very appreciated when I was in a dark place. Hugs, Linda
