Rena,
I thought I'd read all your stories, but apparently not. This was really great. It's nice to know that some people can change and become better humans.

Wow. She really did change. I hope it stays that way. It's good for Brian to know that he is loved.

Joan seems to be thinking about her whole life. Well it's never too late to change.

Never did I think I would enjoy a story containing sanctimonious Joan but happy to say I was wrong, and somehow you made me even like her- a tiny wee bit:-)

Great ending... You should write some of the filler sometime... I'd love to hear how they got to THIS point

I appreciate that she's trying and being considerate of not pushing it either. And glad Brian called her on Christmas

I normally cannot stand Joan, but introspective and very thoughtful Joan, and maybe a remorseful Joan might not be so bad!

I'm a little sorry to see the end of this. This must have been the next Christmas and she must have been a good little girl. I was wondering when she started calling Justin Sunshine. lol.

Wonder what Claire and her family are up to. Nicely done, there are not many nice Joan stories out there and this one was done especially well.

Amazing that she should come to that conclusion. Wonder how she found out about Father Thom. That would be a story in itself. You've given us a picture of how the future could be.
