I never thought that Ethan had a good understanding of what Justin had gone through. It's not surprising though because he wasn't around to witness the immediate aftermath of Justin’s trauma. Brian knew many of the techniques so it just made sense that Justin would reach out to him for help.
Btw: can't wait for more of the Kiss Me series
