Yeah, a torture Mikey segment would have been fun. I'm sure when I wrote this story it was a time when I had multiple WIP's. I remember for a whileI averaged three at a time I was working on, so the endings of a few got rushed more because of that.

Oh Emmett, Emmett, sweet Emmett. He gave Justin and Brian eternal life, and chose to live his as a normal man. I don't think Emmett liked having the power... and also loved his brother enough to give him his soulmate. I really loved Emmett in this story.
And Brian better be careful. Impish Justin might learn quick and learn something Brian can't so easily undo.

That was the ultimate sacrifice from Emmett, but he was happy with his choice. I think everyone got what they wanted. I have the feeling Emmett will lead a charmed and safe human existence. I wouldn't want to be the one who attacked Emmett in any way. Brian and Justin would end them swiftly!

Justin feared that Debbie would hate him for being the instrument of her son's madness. That wouldn't happen. Clearly, she could see the good and innocence in Justin who was nothing but victimized by her son.
Haha. Brian always has a backup plan. I'm sure he thinks Justin will return the favor...so to speak. I guess we'll find out!

Poor Emmett - finding out who he THOUGHT was a friend, but actually an evil villian...that can be hard on a person.
I love the plan and punishment Brian came up with. Because the inmates are going to retaliate hearing him screming all night long, and not only the inmates, the guards can be harsh too.
Then Justin finally slept so well, only to have his world thrown off-kilter to learn how deep Michael's hatred went.

I do think a fitting punishment here. Death would have been quick and over. This way, Michael is sure to be tortured for a very long time.
That is the ultimate betrayal for Emmett, his friend evil and conniving to kill his young friend. It's good that the truth finally was revealed.
Justin's night of rest had a price at the end, but he will rebound from that. Michael wasn't his friend, although I'm sure his heart will go out to Deb.

If Emmett had the protection spell on Justin, does that mean NOBODY could have hurt him? It sounded like he was protecting Michael too.
Yet, Michael brought a tire iron to Emmett and Justin's home. So what could be have accomplished?
So it's a good thing Emmett's eyes are now wide open as to how deranged Michael is. And Brian NEVER belonged to Michael - See? Super delusional!
Pretty good trick though - you can strangle someone and not have fingerprints on their neck.
"So many difficult decisions... how will I decide?" Mwahahahaha!

The protection spell had dual purposes. It was supposed to protect Justin, and maybe it would have, but also to keep Brian from getting into Justin's head magically. Emmett knew his half-brother well enough to know what would happen once Brian met Justin. And, he wasn't wrong. LOL.
Brian definitely has some tricks that could be very useful. It certainly was with the conniving and unhinged Michael.

Michael is scary, and delusonal. I'm actually surprised the little twerp had the audacity to even ask Brian if he was repulsive to him. Brian screwed up! "YES, YES, YES!!! Your little dick does NOTHING to me!!!"
Yep, Ethan was easily swatted and is officially a hasn't been! LOL
So, Brian did hear evil harmful thoughts from Michael. I'm surprised Emmett hadn't picked up on that. He KNEW Michael didn't like Justin, so he should have tried to look for the reason. But Em doesn't expect his friends to be bad!

In this story it's surprising Brian didn't tell Michael what a repellent little rodent he is to him...but he was nice - sort of. That never helps with psychotic freaks!
Emmett definitely looks for the best in his friends; although, he usually sees both sides...but this was just too dark to even think his friend what do to his young friend. A hard lesson learned.

I suppose given some time, Brian could find a way around Emmett's protection spell since he is more powerful, and most likely has some secret spells in his arsenal.
Ethan is a bit of an afterthought in this story. Michael is really the bigger nuisance...but that's probably easy enough to discern. LOL.
Much to happen yet in what was a very short story for me.

Justin and Emmett have an interesting relationship, but I do enjoy writing them as friends. I haven't done that in many stories, but it's a fun dynamic.
Brian could freeze Michael's lips shut and that would be fine. LOL.
Yeah, I thought the half-brother angle would be something unexpected and different. Brian is the stronger one, and has probably more than earned his 'Dark One' title. Haha.

The more pragmatic side of him wished he could market him for reproduction in all his clubs. LMAO! Couldn't you just see a bunch of Justin's dancing all around the world in Brian's clubs? So, let the GAME commense. It doesn't sound like either one will back down. But Justin just earned probably the easier thousand he ever did in his life. I'd dance for a thousand - we may have to blindfold everyone first. This body doesn't move at 65 like it did at 25! LOL
Emmett seems super protective of Justin. Is it because he saved his life - or is there more?
And with every chapter, my unease with Michael grows. If Ted noticed Michael looking at Justin with a crazed look - and since Brian has clearly chosen Justin over Michael on Brian's first night home - Michael may be out to get and eliminate Justin.

That does seem like an offer too good to be true, and definite easy money. I'm sure Brian thought the outcome would be much different, and easy pickings for him. But, he doesn't know our sweet Justin too well yet. LOL.
The Emmett and Justin dynamic is important in this story. More will be known soon. :)
You are smart to be uneasy about Michael. There are definitely some puzzle pieces to fall into place here.

Mikey never seems to be able to hold in his snide comments about Justin. In canon, maybe Brian would overlook it, but here, probably not the wisest of moves.
Brian probably won't get what he wants easily with Justin, even if he thinks he can lay claim to everything he wants.
