Great ending. I’m glad Charles was so centered on Justin and his need for him, that his mind wasn’t able to probe Brian’s, and not realize what was happening until it was too late.
Now once they are back in Pittsburgh, Brian will have some powers if he should ever choose to ‘play’. You know, in case he runs into Kip or some other menace.

This is what happened when I decided to watch Gale in The Secret Circle, I just had to merge the worlds. Lol. It was fun. I love writing the darker stories, and Charles is very intriguing. Of course Brian had to come out on top - in more ways than one! LOL.

The moment Charles erased Ian from existence, I was waiting for the confusion of Justin wondering what they had been talking about. Although, I wasn't sure if it would just be Justin, or everybody. I'm assuming it has to be everybody - outside of Brian. Because otherwise you'd have school and parents, friends, etc... all looking for him.
And Brian was very accurate about that making it easier for him to get Justin to go with him.

Didn’t Mikey say - the fiddler fell off the roof? How poetic. Oh well, no huge loss. But I really hope Justin goes with Brian. Because earlier that was the only scenario I could see happening that Justin would be out of reach for Charles. And by the time Charles gets a plane back to Chance Harbor, hopefully, things will be close to getting rid of Charles.
If Justin asks why the different last names, I wonder how Brian will explain that.

If Charles can make Justin forget Brian simply by kissing him, that could be bad. Although Brian would have the chance to start over.
But I wonder if Brian got a hold of a crystal, if he could combat Charles then. But in the meantime, Brian better start telling everyone about his family secret so they can ignore Charles - but not sure that would help. If I was Brian, I think I would bring Justin to Chance Harbor with me… get him away from Charles.

So Charles can inhabit minds and dreams. I’m not concerned about his threats for Ethan - he needs to go away anyway - although it could be fun watching him try to fight and argue with Charles, never believing he isn’t Brian coming to reclaim what Ethan thinks as his.

Thank you! I'm so glad you enjoyed this dark story. I had written this back at the time we first met Charles on The Secret Circle. I doubt some of the characters and details would have been so fresh in my mind now.

Charles makes Ethan and Michael almost likeable - LOL. There are only 6 chapters in this story, so his reign of terror isn't forever - thankfully.
