OMG, this was fantastic. While all the adventures were happening, it was sad and a little scary, but having them relived with Brian's presentation was just perfect. I laughed so hard remembering when each thing was explained to the family. The idea of the greenhouse and cottage is wonderful. Now I just figured that our "darling Mikey" had to at some point roar his mighty whine and I can see that coming soon. I love how both of you and several other writers make him into such an idiot. He is just not a person that is easy to like and sometimes just plain easy to hate. So thank you again for this wonderful story and once again Happy Holidays.

Not sure about the extension of the cottage for the family: the risk is high to get overcrowded and Michael might think it's like the loft and wants to come and invade their privacy.
