Amazing chapter! The end is wonderful: I love when Brian is genuinely happy and shows it with a smile.
Their lives won't always be easy in LA, but they are together by choice and away from the gang and its permanent advices and judgments.
I loved the “Congratulations Walt Disney!” from Debbie; it was a great way to cut the chase and to loop the loop.
Lindsay and Mel are so engrossed by their "our lives and our choices are always better than yours, listen to us and do as we say".
Michael was weird and Emmett was very protective.
Molly was funny with her way to get a room for her next holiday.

I don't understand why they are looking for a house while the old brewery seems to be large enough to have a loft space. Is this old brewery only for a studio space?
Too bad Justin forgot his medication and he was lucky Brian was here to help.

Sorry that was unclear! The brewery as I imagine it is divided into a number of studios, so they’re not going to have the whole space. In my mind it’s big enough for an office with 1-2 employees and a studio for Justin but not large enough to also house their home. Plus they want to keep work and home separate! Thanks for the feedback. I’ll try to make the description more clear in a future chapter!

Justin just knows how to make Brian do things he would never have done a year ago.
Michael's reaction was surprising, in a good way. Ted is getting more and more assertive. Lindsay has two reasons to drag her feet. Melanie sees clearly why Brian is willing to move.
This move seems on the good tracks.

What a great chapter! Brian and Justin finally having a constructive (and a little "destructive") discussion with real friends who can see what the gang can't or don't want to see. Brian has found someone who could challenge him and wouldn't take his BS.
After the riding that might happen when they will be back to the loft, they might have to plan their move to LA, CA.

This is probably the most Brian thing I've read in a long, long time. He can't just say "I love you" or "I need you" straight out and simply. Yet, somehow, his convolution is an even more powerful statement. Love this.

I always called it flat-lining. Total absence of emotional landscape. No hills, no valleys, no rivers. Not even a random rock. And then, all of the sudden, a flat tire is good enough reason to think of ending everything. It makes no sense. It doesn't have to. It's depression.
Wow... this is a revealing chapter. Depression is an insidious, creeping vine that wraps around one's life and chokes every color out of it. Kudzu.

Some people do recover fully and only experience a single episode of depression in their life. For others it’s recurrent and is more like a chronic illness - manageable but no cure. It’s only been a few weeks of Justin getting treatment so he’s still struggling even if he’s a bit better.

He's feeling a bit better than he was. Recovery is slow and not-linear...which is both reality and makes for a more interesting story IMHO. I think for the nightmare, it was accidentally hurting Molly that was most upsetting. Not that a nightmare is fun but he knows how to cope with them. He's terrified of hurting someone else though.
