Brian can't continue this way. Justin is going to be drifting in and out. Brian being stressed isn't good for either of them.
He can breath a bit easier knowing Justin knows him.
Author's Response:
Brian being stressed definitely isn’t going to benefit either of them! But it’s not avoidable in this situation, unfortunately. Thanks for reading!

Wow, what an amazing chapter. Could feel all of Brian's pain as he waited. It is exactly how the mind works when you are alone and the thoughts and dreams take over. When my husband was in the hospital over 2 months before losing his battle to live. I relived every bad moment in our 33 years of marriage. If I wasn't thinking of them when awake, I dreamt of them with some as they were and some distorted. I often wondered if that is how the mind helps us adjust to what is to come. What is hard to accept is that you don't remember and dream of the good times. So strange. Thank you for your wonderful gift of writing.
Author's Response:
Thank you! <3 Our minds are definitely a confusing, powerful, yet wonderful thing in how unique they are and how they work. I’m sorry to hear about your husband! :(

of so wonderful. What a wonderful way to celebrate their anniversary. Now comes the healing and I can't wait for the remainder of the story.
Author's Response:
Thanks for reading! I’m glad you liked this chapter!

Another punch in the guts! Brian is going through awful nightmares, all too close to reality, past or present.
Thank you for giving him some reprieve with this end.
Author's Response:
Yes, just a little reprieve ;) There will still be plenty of drama coming up...

Michael has turned into a really good friend. I wonder what happened to the other two paintings?
Author's Response:
Yes, Michael is a really good friend. Honestly, I think he always was -- he just had a hard time expressing it sometimes. Thanks for always reading and reviewing! <3

Maybe the truck driver took the last paintings from the car and will bring them back.
Maybe the others were outside the car so the police only took them.
Lindsey should be careful when she arrives because Brian might think all this mess is partially her fault.

What an awful chapter, so full of hurt and pain; the police station and the car were the worse. Brian needs help, but won't likely accept it.
Your writing is fabulous!
Author's Response:
Thank you so much <3 Yes, Brian has a lot going on inside his head right now, and none of it is particularly good.
Date: Nov 03, 2018 3:42 am Title: Strong Enough
I don't even know where to begin.
Such an emotional chapter. Brian is so close to losing it. Justin better wake up soon just to keep Brian sane. And he will wake up. Michael is doing just what is needed of him. Just be there.
Where are the other two paintings? The broken ones symbolize Justin lying in the hospital bed. The two that weren't damaged are Justin healing, Brian healing. Where are they?
Author's Response:
This story will ultimately have a happy ending -- we just aren't there yet, and there will be a long road to get there. <3

What a powerful chapter. You put your heart and soul into writing this one. Now the mystery of the missing paintings plus Justin's condition are making this even more amazing Wonderful writing.
Author's Response:
Thank you so much! <3 I'm proud of how it turned out. I'm glad you liked it as well. I was excited to post it last night.

Brian knew. He felt that something was off.
If he remembers the last time Justin was in this same predicament, then he has to know that even if things aren't looking good right now things will get better. It happened once before Justin will make it happen again.
The end oh this chapter was heartbreaking. Brian will pull his shit together and get them all through this. Jennifer will help them.
Author's Response:
Thanks for reading! <3 It will be a long road, for sure.

Nothing about Justin's injuries? Did he hit only his head or does he have other major traumas? Maybe his lost memories from the prom will be back. The brain works so strangely.
It's awful for Brian: it brings back so many bad memories from the bashing and from his own accident. He shouldn't stay alone during that time.
Author's Response:
Justin doesn't have any other major injuries other than the head injury and some cuts and bruises. The brain does work very strangely! Makes it a little easier to write a medical fic about it. ;) And yes, Brian is dealing with some unpleasant memories right now, and he isn't in a good place, mentally...
Thanks for reading <3

A lot of things have gone wrong. What happened to the paintings? Tell me that Brian doesn't have to do without Justin.
Author's Response:
Paintings will be coming back into play soon...they are not forgotten by me, but Brian is distracted right now. Also, I promise this isn't a death fic. ;)

Oh the angst- great chapter, well done- while I would have loved for Justin to have woken up at the end of the chapter- you needed to tell the reader what a difficult time it is for Brian to handle his paralysis in an unknown city. Can't wait for the next update.
Author's Response:
Justin is going to be MIA for a bit, and a couple of other people will step in to help us tell the story. Brian is going to have some things to deal with as well. Thanks for reading! <3

OMG! You’re killing me with this cliff hangar! Great chapter!
Author's Response:
I know, I know...sorry!

So much evolution, transformations and then, bam! No, no, no, that can't be.
Brian is going to lose his mind if anything serious happened to Justin and he will feel guilty because it was his car and Justin was alone.
Needless to say that the next chapter is more than expected!
Author's Response:
Next chapter is soon, I promise! <3 It wouldn't be me if I didn't throw down some drama!
Date: Oct 29, 2018 3:51 pm Title: Moving On
What a chapter. Seeing how Brian has developed over the years. Things were going well until the end of this chapter, which means you need to hurry with another one so we can find out more.
Author's Response:
Thank you! We will get a little more of Brian's transformation from his point of view in part 4 as well It wouldn't be a story from me without drama and angst.;)

Damn cliffhangers!
You can't take Justin away from Brian.
Author's Response:
I promise this isn't a death fic.
Date: Oct 29, 2018 4:06 am Title: Moving On
Oh no. Brian will never forgive himself if anything happens to Justin. Can't wait to the next chapter.
Author's Response:
Next chapter is coming soon! Thanks for reading and commenting <3

Oh no just when things were so good for them. But as soon as Justin had to drive, I just felt something bad was going to happen. Fantastic writing, but too sad. Hoping for a happy ending !!!!!!!!!!!!
Author's Response:
I love a dramatic, angsty story, and that's what I love to write. I couldn't commit to this sequel until I thought of a way to create drama. ;)

Amazing!!! It's fantastic how you can make the reader feel Brian's pain during his project to stand up! It's so detailed that we are in the scene.
The wedding was simple, but so emotional: it was so vital for Brian to be able to stand up and to hold Justin in his arms from his height.
Congrats for this!
Author's Response:
Thank you so much <3 Let it never be said that I am not detail oriented, sometimes to a fault...but in fiction stories, it usually works pretty well. I'm glad that you liked the wedding -- it was a very challenging scene to write.
Date: Oct 24, 2018 6:23 pm Title: Familiarity
So happy to see a new part! Thank you!
It's painful to read how difficult it is for Brian to travel. The good news is that they are getting married with a small ceremony.
Is Brian trying to stand up on his own with his therapist?
Date: Oct 24, 2018 5:40 pm Title: Beautiful
Ohh so happy for them.
A peek into what Brian was thinking, feeling, and going through learning to stand again, walk again.
All for his Sunshine. If Justin ever doubted Brian loved him, there's his proof that he airways had.
Author's Response:
Yay! Yes, all for Sunshine. <3 Brian says I love you with actions more than words.

Perfection!

Thank you! <3
