Gorgeous!
Author's Response:
Thank you so much :)

A relook at what's happened through Jennifer's eyes. Maybe her being their helped.

GReat update. So glad Jennifer came to New York. Maybe Justin is ready to try to figure how his art can be a part of him. Jennifer and Brian coming to Justin's studio and cleaning it up was great. Loved the bonding between them. Glad that things seem to be moving forward for everyone.
Author's Response:
Justin is definitely working on trying to get art figured out -- it's just hard. And it was fun writing Brian and Jen! I'm glad you liked the chapter.

Fantastic chapter. Love the relationship that developed between Jennifer & Brian. Hope Justin will continue to see improvement.
Author's Response:
Thanks...me too. :) She’s a good second “real” mother to him, alongside Debbie.

It's great to have Jennifer's POV on both major events in Justin's life (and Brian's as well).
I always admired her after she left Craig and started to live on her own terms and when she realized that Brian wasn't that bad for her son.
Author's Response:
Thanks :) We haven’t heard from her yet in this verse, and I thought her perspective might be interesting. I love the character. She’s a strong woman, who raised a strong young man.

Fantastic chapter. The baby steps are growing and you are writing them perfectly. Little by little progress will happen. It is still sad that they have to deal with all of this, but it is how RL sometimes takes over people's lives.
Author's Response:
Thank you so much! You're right that we never know what will happen or when our lives will get turned upside down.

Rob suggestion seems to have helped.
Author's Response:
Rob's a pretty smart guy ;)

It's great that Justin found something that helps them rekindle their kinky ways! It gave him a goal and allowed Brian to be in control again. He also resumed his cooking, which was always a pleasure for him.
The first part of the chapter was hard to read; the despair Justin was feeling was so high. Thanks to Rob, he was able to avoid a huge crisis and found the strength to face his mental breakdown.
Author's Response:
I'm so glad you appreciated that part ;) I wanted them to be able to "diversify," and that seemed to be a good way to do it, and it did give Justin something to work on. Getting back into cooking is pretty big...a sign that things are getting better.
The first part being hard to read just means that it came across how I intended...the moments at his studio and in the bathroom with the mirror are Justin's parallel to Brian's breakdown in "Changed." Only Justin was alone for all of his, and Brian wasn't (even though he wanted to be). But he did find his strength.
Nowhere to go but up!

So glad to see Justin moving forward. I know it's still a long road but it's positive.
Author's Response:
Yes, we are getting there, slowly but surely.

It looks like helping children is the best bet for getting Justin back.
Author's Response:
Mayyyybe ;)

Beautiful chapter with hope and despair, which is mainly what Justin is feeling since his accident; I hope Brian won't be dragged behind Justin.
Brian and Justin should maintain an exchange of memories like they did at the hospital; it could trigger new flashbacks.
Maybe Adam should have kept his question for himself; maybe Justin would have come to another conclusion.
Author's Response:
Thank you <3 Adam meant well...he wanted to try to be encouraging, but Justin isn't ready. Familiar situations will continue to trigger flashbacks for Justin as well. He's getting things back, slowly, but he isn't very patient. ;) Justin is feeling a lot of things right now, and he's very mixed up, not really knowing what to do.

Thank you for this wonderful Christmas gift of a new chapter. It is fantastic. And, I really needed it today since 8 years ago today I lost my mother. It made that Christmas really hard and each one since is a reminder, but it is easier each year. May you have a blessed holiday season and a Happy, Healthy New Year.
Author's Response:
I’m so sorry to hear about your mother...the holidays can definitely be a difficult time. Thank you for the holiday wishes, and I’m glad you enjoyed the chapter. Thank you for always taking the time to review — it means a lot.

Oh, such a nice ending to the chapter. I like that Brian is so patient with Justin and that Justin finally got the courage to ask Brian how it's done. Loving this story, the angst is great but realistic and you're doing a great job of portraying the situation.
Author's Response:
Thank you <3 I had really been missing their intimacy and closeness during all that time they were apart in the Pitts. I was ready to write something like what I ended with here. ;)
Date: Dec 20, 2018 10:38 pm Title: Home
It's good that they are sharing. This not telling what is wrong is soo...wrong.
Author's Response:
Brian just didn’t want to add anything else to what Justin is dealing with...that was really the only reason he was trying to deal with the nightmares privately.
Date: Dec 19, 2018 7:09 pm Title: Home
Wow, powerful chapter. It is so difficult seeing them this way, but they are survivors and have each other. Nothing else matters.
Author's Response:
Thank you <3 They will always be there for each other, and that was really my MO with this story...it just took awhile to get there. ;)
Date: Dec 19, 2018 4:31 pm Title: Home
I can see Brian asking "Like the first time?".
Amazing chapter: Brian is forced to talk about his nightmares and Justin is facing Brian disability in bed. The way they talk is great: they are going to be fine; it will take time, but they will succeed because they are together and they are sharing their feelings and troubles.
Author's Response:
Thank you so much <3 They each have their own things going on, but they will help each other through it, because that's what they've always done, and nothing has changed there.

At least it is not as easy as it appeared in the series. We're learning that it's not a couple of weeks and he's walking, talking and sleeping. Not even months. Much more realistic.
Author's Response:
Thank you :) As with most things in the series, all of this was too quickly resolved and forgotten. Just a few episodes into season two, Justin was basically "all better" for the most part. It definitely isn't that easy! And "recovery" doesn't always mean what we might think.
Date: Dec 16, 2018 2:25 am Title: Rehabilitation
Amazing chapter. It just seems so unfair that they have to suffer so much, but then again life isn't fair. Just hope that there is a bit of sunshine coming there way and who knew that Brian Kinney could be so loving and concerned. Proves that club boys can grow up into wonderful men.
Author's Response:
Thank you - yes, we are working our way toward a turn now, I promise. It might take a little longer to get there though. Brian is all grown up -- he's 45 in this story. I figured it made sense that he would have grown and matured some, especially as he realized how much it meant to him to have Justin in his life, and in light of how much his life changed after his accident.
Date: Dec 15, 2018 9:13 am Title: Rehabilitation
Very dark and depressing chapter; maybe once home they will start to heal and get better.
Author's Response:
This definitely is not an easy road, and there is no quick fix, but they will help each other through it. They love each other so much, and they’ll do anything for each other.
Date: Dec 10, 2018 1:47 pm Title: Frustration
He remembers the prom. This look at what Justin was going through is amazing.
Author's Response:
Thank you! <3 Yes, he remembers the prom...finally.
Date: Dec 09, 2018 11:42 pm Title: Frustration
Great update. I love how Justin gained more power of his speech due to the game he and Brian invented. I can just feel how frustrated both of them are with Justin's issues.
Author's Response:
Thank you! <3 They really are both incredibly frustrated. Justin wants so badly for things to change, and Brian wants so badly to help him, but they're stuck...victims of the circumstances.
Date: Dec 09, 2018 5:16 pm Title: Frustration
Wow, powerful chapter. So emotional and it must have been hard to write. Tissue time again. Terrific writing.
Author's Response:
Thank you! <3 writing emotional stories seems to be my "thing." I do enjoy writing them.
Date: Dec 09, 2018 3:12 pm Title: Frustration
Heartbreaking to read how Justin feels, but wouldn't after being hurt and unable to use a hand, again.
The only light in this grey is that Justin is remembering "the best night of his life".
Author's Response:
Justin still has a ways to go in his recovery. <3 But yes, he's finally remembered all of the prom!
Date: Dec 03, 2018 4:32 pm Title: Friendship
Rob is a good friend and he didn't clash with Michael. Meeting everyone at Debs had to be an experience. Shame Justin couldn't be there. When will he be able to leave the hospital?

Fantastic chapter. This story is so good. Just love it.
Author's Response:
Thank you so much <3 and thank you for always reading and reviewing!
