Great chapter. Your mojo is definitely back in high gear. I really needed this update this morning since it is 6 am and I cannot sleep. I got the new shingles shot Sat. morning and I have all the side effects. Extreme tiredness, a red swollen arm and am just plain miserable. It will last 2-3 days (if I can last that long) and the pharmacist said as miserable as it is, it outweighs getting shingles. I sure hope so. Hope you are feeling much better. Sorry to dump that on you, but I guess I just needed to get it out of my system. Hugs to you.

Loving this!! Justin and Daphne working together will be just as awesome as Brian and Cynthia. Enjoyed emmensely how they handled the Dumb and Dumber twins. Is it awful to hope that they try to file a lawsuit against them for wrongful termination? It would be so much fun to watch them fail!
Damn! Wonder what peabrain Mikey is up to. Well, hopefully he ends up in jail soon, 'cause you know I'm really concerned that he doesn't have a roof over his head now that he's been evicted.
And poor delusional Ethan. He just will never learn. Maybe he should hook up with Mikey?

Does Jennifer plan on buying the diner and the building of Red Cape Comics too?
It could use a revamp and an updated menu and better service in certain areas and the comic book store could use better management?
My goodness I see where Justin learned how to think strategically, when they go after you it is straight to the jugular.
Michael is running to Ben, Vic or Brian to save him?
All the tenants who want him gone is not surprising his voice can penetrate walls and peal paint, their suggestions for his new residence was Hilarious.
He must be high if he thinks any of them would give him a nickel much less a bed to contaminate, better go to Mommy cause she is the one who wanted to take care of him, so living together again should be a joy for both of them.
Daphne working for Justin is perfect she knows Justin well and is just what he needs.
Cynthia and Daphne are going to be lethal and invigorating at Kinnectik.
Ethan just learned when Brian says something you listen then run cause he is not playing when it comes to destroying you.

Jenn is the very personification of 'danger' right now. She's one pissed off mother with a hefty bank account and a Broker's license. She's also a WASP, who realizes that her real 'power' lies in acquiring as much as she can. The fact that she's stategically buying up Liberty Avenue and tormenting her son's enemies by doing so...well that's just the added bonus in Jenn's book...LOL
Daphne working for Kinnetik is going to be a lot of FUN! There's a very definitive reason why Cynthia thinks of her as the 'Anti-Michael' which will become even more clear as time goes on and she settles into her new role as Justin's assistant. I think I laughed my head off and then screwed it back on with her tirade to Bob and Brad. Between her and Cynthia, the employees had better stay on the straight and narrow.
I don't know if we've seen the last of Ethan yet, but his role in Brian and Justin's breakup still needs to be addressed.
You're going to be surprised at just 'who' Michael is running to...but he definitely won't get the reception he's hoping for!

So excited to see another update to this story. Can't believe that
Ethan showed up and tried to get Justin to go with him. He really is an idiot. Loved how Brian stood up for Justin; even though we know that Justin could do this by himself. Loved that Brian hired Daphne. She is perfect for kinnetik and Justin. The "bobsy twins are so full of themselves and I'm grateful that you let them go as well. Michael is an idiot, thinking that just because he wants something means he will get it. I can't wait to see if he actually coughs up the money or ends up in jail. Would serve him right to be in jail since he would get a wakeup call regarding his actions. I doubt Michael will ever see what he did as wrong.

Hey Sandy! So glad that you are continuing to enjoy this story. It's just about at the point where it will start 'writing' itself and I'm so happy at that.
Ethan is has swiss cheese for brains- just full empty of holes in his head...SMH Sadly, he is also like Michael's long lost twin in that he has such an inflated ego that he believes he is a real catch. Those two are the very definition of 'people only a mother could love'...SMH I'm not sure that we've seen the last of him yet since he's a lot like a hard-to-kill STD where it shows up just about everywhere it's unwanted, and a recurring nightmare to the patient. However, I am so HAPPY that Justin finally let Brian do what it is he needed to do on his behalf instead of trying to assert his independence. We all know that he could have handled himself beautifully, but Brian needed this! Justin stepping aside meant lot to Brian on so many levels. They really are growing! I feel like a proud mom, LOL
Daphne working for Kinnetik is going to be FUN! With the four of them (five if we include Ted) at the helm of the company, there are plenty of hijinx and wise cracks ahead. But she will fit in perfectly because not only is she a hard worker, but will do just about anything to help Brian and Justin to succeed; a true Anti-Michael in every way that matters.
Michael is a special case of stupid. It will be interesting to see if his mother's gift for self-preservation is indeed genetic, or if the inherited stubborn streak is going to bite him in the ass. One thing is for certain, he's definitely NOT going to go away quietly.

It's amazing to see all the emotions brought out by the cruelty of how Michael and Debra manipulated Brian. Emmett, Ted, Mel, Ben, and even Jennifer and Hunter can now see why Brian is the way he is and how he has evolved since meeting Justin. Can't wait to see how that will continue.
It's also amazing to see Brian's heartbreak being healed by the strength of Justin's love and faith in him.

Debra did everything she could for Michael so she would never be alone and she didn't care how it affected the people who actually loved her without conditions, now she is going to find out what it means to really be alone cause Michael probably still plans to throw her under the bus to save himself and make his fantasy a reality.
Ben and Ted stopping Emmett from giving Michael a new Asshole is surprising cause I thought they would have to stop Ben when the realization came that Michael pimped Hunter out, Lance better not come back to Pittsburgh because he will get a beat down of Epic Proportions.
Since Debra is in delusional land with Michael I think there is still a chance Jennifer can shed her Wasp Mask and take Debra, cause Jennifer looks like she is all innocent but I bet she is a brawler lol ;)
Brian finding his safe haven in Justin's arms is not surprising I think despite all his protesting he knew that Justin would cherish and protect his heart.
He just needed to look inside and ignore the haters to the truth that had always been there, but he tried to ignore, Justin loved Brian flaws and all with his heart he didn't want perfection he just wanted Brian Aiden Kinney.
Brian is opening his heart and soul to a love that really couldn't be denied though it was pushed aside through others selfish machinations, now Brian sees what Justin always saw that he is worthy of love, can love and deserves love unconditionally.
Together Brian and Justin really are unstoppable and now that Brian has opened his eyes he sees that growing up isn't a hardship, loneliness is, and that with Justin, Gus, Melanie, Ted, Emmett, Jennifer, Molly, Vic, Rodney, Ben and Hunter that he is safe and free to be Brian.
And that the haters can't hurt him anymore all the power they once had is gone.

I love the way Brian is growing and evolving into a man who knows that he deserves to be loved and that he can love in return. He is finding out that he deserves to be more than an unlimited checkbook to people just because they possibly helped him out when he needed something. He is also finding out who his true friends are and who has just been using him for anything they could get.

With all the shit Michael has done, pimping Hunter is a new low. I mean he did to Brian all the time by finding him, or talking him into going after some guy Michael knew wouldn't mean anything.
And Debra, blinders and all still doesn't think he's done anything wrong. Even with Vic telling her about him being blackmailed by Claire, paying her with Brian's money by Debra's standards that's okay too.
We know Jennifer never would but I would have loved to see her go after Debra and pull the wig right off her head.
I'm glad Ben is going to take action against Michael for the shit he pulled. But no matter what he better be doing jail time.
Never seen Em so angry. Good thing Ted and Ben were able to hold him back. I think if he went after Michael, all his pent up hurt and anger from growing up would have come to the surface.
Knew Brian would find peace and tranquility in Justin's arms. They're his safe haven.

Wooooooooosh. I'm actually a bit drained emotionally reading these last 2. HEart is BREAKING for Brian. Not only were his biological family abusive, but so were those he considered family. His "Ma" and his "brother" both are just the dregs.
Wish I could've seen Justin hit Michael in RL . lol What a sight to behold. I enjoyed the visuals I had just reading it.
I liked that this one was in Jen's POV. Good choice.
So the smackdown was brilliant!! I think however that we haven't heard the last of Deb and Michael. Even Linds may rear her fugly fake blonde head once again. Hmmmmm. Curious as to what Michael chooses to do. What will Deb say about it all? Will she forgive Michael screwing her over or will she also smack hom down since it's actually directed at her now.

Michael is smart when he is being sneaky so they should think about having those places searched too?
Will Deb have to payback the money Brian gave to her over the years?
Plus what about any money Ted, Emmett and Mel loaned to Debra and Michael???
Brian should get a restraining order against Lance and Jennifer should have cameras around her building just in case.

Justin just showed Michael he isn't weak and that kicking Ass is easy when you're dealing with a coward who expects everyone to save him.
Michael gave himself away with all his stupid actions no one besides Debra will side with him, and Debra has lost her family in her quest to cater to Michael.
Debra now knows that everyone knows her part in Michael's machinations and still she defends him, but what will she do when she finds out that forgiveness won't come by her red fingernail in the face or her bullying, Brian now sees the truth and no way is he or Justin going backwards anymore, they are moving forward to make both of their dreams come true.
Debra is such a Hypocrite!!!
She doesn't like when everyone doesn't jump for Michael every time he whines or pouts, but the moment Michael's happiness effects her then she stands her ground.
For years she and Michael abused Brian and now that he is standing up for himself she wants to get mad <eye roll>
