Hey Shine! I understand your issues with hiring Eric and Christian, but there is a method to Justin's seeming madness. On one hand, hiring them prevents any possible civil lawsuits about discrimination even if they are falsified (again, think Kip Thomas). On the flipside of that theory is the adage "Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer". It's going to be interesting to discover what Eric, who is the wild card, really is. As for Mel, it was really a comedy of errors kind of thing. Although she's annoyed, Brian's remarks to her tempers that a bit. Brian as always is an insolent imp, and takes great joy in goading her. The Brian/Mel dynamic just keeps growing and changing in ways I've never imagined. And it's a great thing since they are both going to rely on it. Stay Tuned Darling! Time for Justin to mark his territory (Why should Brian get all the fun ;)) and show that loser that he was just a poor substitute cause the real thing is 10xs!!
Getting away is a good idea and perhaps after the trials they should all get away to shake off the scrum and embrace a new beginning?

Whatever is in Deb's lock box that wasn't revealed must be good line what us in the safety deposit box at the bank, you are saving it for the trial and it will be the final nail in Michael and everyone else's coffins right?
Deb was honest and knows that she just escaped doing time for her culpability and Michael's cowardice.
Michael was sitting on loads of money the whole with those precious collectibles and still he chose to steal from Brian and Justin....What An Arrogant RODENT!!!
So selling all those collectibles and repaying Brian, Justin probably Ted and Emmett too is first priority, then maybe some should go to Deb and Vic too.
Rage could do with a re-design and improved story anyway, Michael's ideas were too small and old-fashioned, has to be brought up and cater toothed kids at heart who love comics and to the ones who never read a comic.
Brandon and Vic knocked Michael down but it will only get worse after Michael is arraigned and they get closer to trial.
Cause then it will be a free for all as they all toss each other under the bus or off the boat for the last life preserver.
Deb is not ready for a relationship but hopefully after she has finished processing everything she might be ready for coffee ;)

No sympathy for the weasle. Having Deb testify against him is probably one of the worst things that could happen to him. Let's raise our glasses to that.
So Deb now knows that Mikey's "toys" are worth some money. What's happening with the boxes that Ted and Dale took from the basement? The ones Michael doesn't even know are gone. Please tell me they'll be sold and the monies turned over to Justin. If anything over the amount the weasle owes Justin is left it can go to Deb and Vic, as it should.
I really can't wait to see him and all his dreams go up in smoke at his trial. Let the show begin.

Talk about surprises! Even i wanted to run and hide while writing that, so I can just imagine the looks on everyone's faces while reading! We will definitely find out all of their motives (although Troy's is pretty clear right now) and what they are up to in a bit. I mean seriously, WTH is Christian Hobbs doing at Kinnetik?! Even I'm looking forward to the answer to that question!
I really love the idea of Brian and Justin's business growing in this fic. It's not so much the 'Rags to Riches' aspect as much as I think it should have happened this way in the series. Both are strong men personally, so to me it makes perfect sense that in all areas of their lives they should be able to drive and support each other towards successes untold. It is such an honor and privilege to write them this way. None of their enemies- both personal and collective- are ready for the force Brian and Justin are growing to be!

LOL! Hey Sandy!
I'm so happy to be able to surprise you all. Believe it or not, I don't really keep notes unless I'm writing with Lorie, or until recently, other people. One would call me a free floater, and I guess that's true to a degree since I have the most primitive outline you can imagine. It actually looks something like this:
(1) Main characters
(2) Setting: Timeline and place of first scene ONLY
(3) What to accomplish in the first chapter/ introduce main conflict
(4) Grow the character throughout using subplots (to be determined later)
(5) Where do I want them to end up- Pittsburgh or Move on?
Ironically, it's the same format I use for every story, and nothing is actually filled in (hence the free flow vibe to my writing). Everything else that happens with in the story occurs organically, including the situations which serve to make every character's action and reaction as 'human' as possible. It's strange, and totally against the 'rules' of writing but I'm a rebel by nature so this works for me.
