Justin knew that he was in trouble; at least with his mom. And apparently yes, Brian bought the diner; that was a surprise even to me until I wrote it. Brian does take good care of those he loves though. Hence the lemon bars.

Brian was without a doubt very sexy with his bed head and everyone was staring out of envy; but he is also very self-conscious and likely thought they were critiquing him. And we all need ma once in a while to keep our heads straight. LOL! The funny thing is that’s how I intended on the vignette ending. Brian coming back and finding Justin asleep on the couch. But then that moment with Deb happened and the rest seemed superfluous.

Well, she'll still have her asshole moments; she is Deb still. And Brian was definitely sexy, and I like to think that they were all staring because they were jealous that none of them could pull off that level of sexy when they've just rolled out of bed. But Brian does have a skewed view of himself, so I can see him being self-conscious if he isn't one hundred percent, perfectly coiffed.

Glad you are feeling a little better. This flu is awful. Had it for 2 weeks, but when hearing about how bad some people have had it, I guess I was lucky just to be miserable. Good chapter. That is definitely a visual I didn't want either; but when the dialogue popped into my head, I had to run with it. It had me laughing so hard as I could just see Justin's expression as he asked Mel that question. :)
