Yeah, sorry about that. I got to the point where I couldn't comfortably sit in a chair and had to give up at that point. But I am doing much better today. :) And mom is stubborn, but doing as well as she can be at this point. Glad you enjoyed this installment and thanks for reading!

She is doing a bit better but being stubborn; being a nurse and knowing what's going on makes it difficult to get her to what's best for her because she always knows better. *rolls eyes* But what can you do? Justin was the perfect person to open Deb's eyes about that vile subspecies she created. If she actually listens we'll have to wait and see. Odds are ....no she didn't.
Brian and Justin getting of Dodge is perfect. Brian knows that Ben and or Lindsay are most likely next on the defend little Mikey train and he's not getting on board with that BS.
Brian doing the equivalent of wrapping Justin in cotton wool is so sweet. Butnwe can't forget that he also has to protect his family from a couple of insane stalkers named Michael and creepy crawly guy.
This story is sooooo good. I'm also anxiously waiting for more.

I do feel that Deb would be more willing to listen to Justin than Brian. We'll see if his words stuck, however. Deb has a bad habit of believing the worst of Brian no matter what anyone says.
Abd yes, we still need to hear from theother lemmings, but for the moment, we're going to focus on some fun as I need a break from the tension. And I'm sure you all would appreciate it too. :)

Oh, he definitely does; but right now, Brian is genuinely afraid he might kill Mikey. And that wouldn't be good because then he'd be in prison and Justin would be very pissed off at him.

Not as explosive as I thought it would be.....more a slow burn but still it definitely delivered. Afterwards I realized it's just the right tone at the right time. There will be no remorse from Michael. He will be his normal stupid self and push Brian to a point of no return.
Brian is only partially right about the reasons for Michael's jealousy. It's not that Justin is having a baby it's that he's having Brian's child and that he's married to the one man Michael has always wanted. Michael is not sorry for what he did and it will happen again....next time Brian will not hesitate to absolutely ruin him.
Brian telling how painful and scary it is to fear losing your unborn child had me wishing that he snapped and choked Michael out. ðŸ˜.
Ben will find a way to excuse the inexcusable.... Deb will find a way to blame Brian. And Emmett will remain a flawless being. I love, love, love your AU version of Ted, Carl and Emmett.

There were a lot of reasons for handling it the way I did. First of all, typically, Brian is not a physically violent person. He did punch Michael that one time; and it was rightfully deserved. But it also took a pretty heinous comment for him to snap like that. I mean seriously, how many people would have left a comment like that to only one punch? Brian genuinely fears becoming like his father; so that thought tempers his actions quite a bit.
But more than that, he has just spent a full day with his husband in the hospital; Justin is a wreck - he's anxious, and panicked and his blood pressure, while not at a detrimental level yet, was a definite cause for concern. On top of that, they learned from the doctors that the high blood pressure meds that are safe for pregnancy, Justin can't take because he's allergic to them. He is stung out, enraged and fucking terrified for both his husband and unborn child. And if he had punched Michael, he wouldn't have stopped. He would have kept on going until he exorcized some of his demons. And that would have led to a whole other nasty mess that the boys don't need right now.
Justin needs him there at his side; not in prison.
But this has only pushed it off for now; Mikey will get what's coming to him. All in good time. :)

I didn't feel that physical violence was the best response right now; Justin needs him. And if Brian had thrown a punch, it wouldn't have ended there. Not when he was still riding the fear of learning that both Justin and Sunbeam could be so adversely affected by the high blood pressure if it didn't come down. It is definitely not something to mess with. It doesn't mean that Mikey won't get a beat down at some point.

Banishing him really is the only thing that Mikey will get in the end; if Brian were to continue talking to him after this, it would be a big fuck you to Justin and make Mikey believe that he can get away with anything he says.

Wow!!!! Brian is so HOT!!! I love that he didn't back down and accept Michael's apology like he would have in the past. I do hope that once Debbie finds out she doesn't get upset with Brian. She needs to understand part of the reason Michael is the way he is is due to her mothering.
I love that Emmett and Brian were like a team. It's true, he is one of the few who will stand up to Deb.

Thanks! I'm happy you liked it! Protective, pissed off Brian is fun to write. Yeah, that was an important and needed happening at this point. Had Brian caved and accepted Michael's apology, it would have been a huge slap in Justin's face. I don't think they'd be able to come back from it. Thankfully that was never in the picture, because once Sunbeam was threatened, Brian was ready to go on the warpath.
Deb...will likely be Deb; but hopefully she'll also learn from it. She needs to face the fact that Michael has issues and she needs to stop solving his problems for him, and expecting others to do so as well.
Em is shping up to be one of my favorites in this universe; well, actually he's always one of my favorites anyways. But I do love the friendship that is emrging between him and Brian. :)
