I knew you would like those little tidbits about Brian and Justin's history. At this point in our story, Justin was still in denial about his feelings for Brian. It will come out in a later chapter. Brian was so convinced that Hendrick was better for Justin. There's a flashback about a little talk between Brian and Hendrick. It will all make sense later, I promise :)

Good that Brian spelled it out to Tony, though when you think about it he shouldn't have to. Brian gets to be with Justin and Tony gets to be with Gibbs. Win/win.

Tony's actually pretty smart but needed Brian to spell it out. I still blame it on Tony's mind, because it was clouded with jealousy.
Brian will be there for Justin, no matter what. Tony will soon see that Brian is not the enemy.

Justin will go through a very hard time grieving and dealing with his feelings towards Brian, which confuses him.
But he has Gibbs and Tony to help and listen to him :)

Yeah, Tony is a little slow here. But that's a bit understandable since his mind was clouded by worry, focus on the job and jealousy. He still sees Brian as the enemy at this point.

I know the backstory of how Jennifer met Gibbs is really sad but turned out great for all of them.
Yep, they both did but Justin only really remembers Hobbs attacking him so he's usually just talking about Hobbs.
I think Brian did a good job as matchmaker, didn't he? Nobody can blame him for Tony being a bit slow lol

At the end of chapter 2, I thought Gibbs and Brian would have been at Babylon and thought also about the bombing, but I didn't guess what was happening when the bomb exploded.
Interesting and intriguing beginning; even if I don't know NICS, I know Mark Harmon is staring in it and he's an amazing actor (he was great in "The West Wing" and "Presidio").
As for what Tony found out in the first chapter: did that happen because Brian was crushed when he learned about Justin getting married? Do Gibbs and Brian have a "friends with benefits" rule or was it a one shot (no pun intended)?

YES! Mark Harmon is a sweetheart and the best. I love him but I shouldn't get into this now or my response would be longer than the entire story lol
As for your question: No. They do got together more than once but it was more for comfort. Of course Brian was heart broken about Justin getting married but he loved Justin and thought Hendrick was better for him than Brian. Later chapters will include more about Justin/Hendrick/Brian, I promise. And we will also reveal why Brian wasn't topping Gibbs later. There's still a lot coming since Andi agreed that our beta Loahisi and I would post the full story here - not the shortened one he posted on his Tibbs account. NCIS fans wanted more Tibbs and less focus on Brian and Justin but you will get the full version :)

Gibbs and Brian do have a lot in common but of course there will be a happy end.

Wow, didn't see that coming. So Justin is Gibbs son, sort of, and was going to marry Hendrik. And Gibbs thinks Tony's straight and Tony thought Gibbs was. So how do you manage to set them both 'straight'.

We had to find a way to connect the gang with Gibbs and since we never liked Craig we came up with this.
I can tell you this: Brian plays a big part in getting Tony and Gibbs closer, even though Tony's jealousy won't let him realize it right away. As for Brian and Justin, it takes a little longer for them to get their acts together but Justin is still grieving and Brian's two besties are not really helping them.
